As we age, we begin to lose volume in the middle of our face - the cheek area. This results in a weakening of the support system in this area which causes the overlying structures/skin to begin to droop downwards. All of these changes in effect make us look older and more tired, as well as begin to cause other lines - such as the nose to mouth lines and marionette lines 

This can all be corrected with dermal fillers if varying densities that are injected into specific areas to restore this volume loss - as seen in the photos below. 

To enhance the cheekbone and create a more contoured facial profile, dermal filler can be strategically placed along the cheekbone - as for this lovely client. 

Numbing cream is applied prior to the procedure as there can be some mild discomfort. The dermal filler also contains built in anaesthetic to further help with this.

Results can be seen immediately and typically last 1-2 years depending on the filler used.

smokers lines are the vertical lines that radiate out from the upper lip. They are a result of repeatedly pursing the lips - as you would do when smoking. They can be treated using both Botox and dermal filler depending on the depth and severity.

TREATMENT BREAKDOWN

Jawline slimming/masseter Botox:

This is a treatment involving the use of Botox to re shape the face. A strong, square jawline is often sought in a male, but in a female it is more desirable to softer, heart shaped face. This can be achieved by injecting controlled amounts of Botox into specific muscles at the sides of the face (the masseter muscle).

It is a quick procedure with no pain and no downtime.

Cheek augmentation:

This involves specifically placed dermal filler comprising of hyaluronic acid onto the cheek bone. This is achieved through a variety of advanced infection techniques that our aesthetic doctor at dermaspace in Huddersfield is highly trained and experienced in. The area is first numbed, and our dermal fillers (juvederm) contain built in anaesthetic to further minimise any discomfort.

The filler adds as an anchor on the cheekbone to create a more lifted and sculpted effect.

Chin augmentation:

This involves placing more dermal filler (as with cheek augmentation) at specific points on the chin to allow it to be re shaped and structured.

Lip augmentation/fillers could possibly be one of the most highly requested treatments at dermaspace. This is likely due to Kylie Jenner and her confession that her beautifully shaped plump lips are not natural, but are actually a result of dermal fillers. Following an interview in which she revealed that she regularly has lip fillers (juvederm) containing hyaluronic acid, the number of people getting this procedure done has soared.

At dermaspace we only use dermal fillers comprising of hyaluronic acid. This is a substance that is actually naturally present in your body, and it acts as a sponge to draw in water which allows your lips to become more defined, volumised and plump. All of lip fillers are performed by our aesthetic doctor. Following a consultation, some numbing cream is applied to the lips and left to work. This helps to ease any discomfort. To further reduce any pain, the majority of the dermal fillers we use also contain lidocaine - an anaesthetic allowing the procedure to be virtually painless. Once the anaesthetic cream has started to work, several small injection of filler are placed around the vermillion border of the lip and into the body of the lip itself.

During the procedure, the results are continuously reviewed with our clients to ensure that they are happy with the appearance as we go along.

Following treatment the lips are massaged to allow the filler to integrate.

The whole treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, and common side effects include mild swelling and bruising which settles within a few days.
